Thank you Drayton Valley Community Foundation

The Pembina Nordic Ski Club would like to express its sincere thanks to the Drayton Valley Community Foundation for their generous support for our purchase of a new grooming machine. We have been in need of a new grooming machine for a few years as our existing machines are starting to require a lot of work to keep them operating. We recently purchased a new grooming machine with matching funding from the Drayton Valley Community Foundation and are looking forward to the new ski season!

See the photos from the Evening of Gratitude on Facebook.

Trail Conditions December 2 2016

The Ridge Loop is ok for skate on rock skis. The other trails are not yet useable.

October 2016 AGM, Potluck, Hike and Ski Swap!!!

Hi Everyone! Please come and join us for our AGM!
We will be discussing plans for the new building and hoping to fill a few vacant board positions.
We're having a ski swap and a hike before the meeting and a potluck after so it should be a fun day!
Information about the new building is here..

A pdf file with the board position descriptions can be found here: Board Position Descriptions

October 2016 Ski Swap

The ski swap is NOT an organized event. It is just a time and place for you to bring your old equipment to sell or swap and a place for you to maybe find some treasures in someone else's unneeded stuff.

Feel free to bring along ski related items such as ski clothing etc. Children's items will likely be a hot item as we are always looking to outfit our kids at a reasonable cost.

If you need a table, there are tables in and out of the chalet, otherwise just find a place for your stuff. You are responsible for looking after your own items and taking them home with you if they don't sell. If you would like to donate unsold items to the ski club, please see an executive member after the ski swap.

Other than that, have fun, bring some food for the potluck after the AGM and have a good time!

I have attached our ad from the Western Review.

Club Jackets

We are excited to announce that we are ordering club jackets this year! The final graphic design has not been worked out yet (sorted out, look for them on the trails) but it will feature our logo on a background of turquoise and lime green with black sleeves and trim. I have attached a three page catalog with a VERY draft design and sizing information. Louis Garneau will take the draft design and make something much better! The design will be the same on the back as on the front.

FITTING SESSIONS WERE ON SUNDAY, DECEMBER 14, 2014 AT THE CHALET, but the order is not in yet as we wrestle with design issues. (Sorted out, order went out and jackets picked up. Send us an email if you are interested for the 2015/2016 season).

Our minimum order is 6 PER style, so for example 6 Junior Micro and/or six Adult Micro. If we don't get very many Jr orders we will have to size them up to an adult size. The adult XXS is about the same size as a Jr L and the XXS is about the same size as the Jr XL. The adult sizes just have longer arms and bodies.

We get better pricing if we order at least 12 jackets. So far we have 6 interested people so we are on our way!

PRICES ARE AS FOLLOWS:
Adult $114, Junior $94
